The Document Type

In general, the type of publication ("the Document Type") is not required to retrieve a Patent Document. However, there special cases (utility models, reissued patents, etc.),
where the patent cannot be retrieved by the Country Code and the serial number only. In this case, the Document Type must also be indicated.
