Definition:

The Inventor is the name of the persons who is registered on the patent application as the inventor.

Content:

The Inventor can contain a list of names of persons. The Inventor can also be the Applicant.

Syntax/format:

The Inventor format is made up of the Surname followed by the Forenames of the inventor(s)

You can search for a single word, or more than one word. If you enter more than one word, only those documents will be retrieved in which all the words appear. You can also search for a phrase using double quotes. This will retrieve only those documents in which the exact phrase is present.

Default Operator: AND

Note:

Please note that "Smith John" will not retrieve "Smith Robert John". In this example, the AND operator is a better choice.
